My Professor Locked the Door — Episode 2: Close the Door

Jessica comes back for her card with a cold warning: you've never seen me. What she leaves behind is an emerald earring under the stool, and Max keeps it. On Monday he half hopes she has a twin. No such luck. She walks to the front of the hall as Professor Jessica Grey, economics, and the air in the room turns electric. When she leans over his desk to hand out papers, Daisy, the blonde who always sits beside him, catches a look on his face she has never earned.

'Eyes on the board.' Strange, for a woman who swears she never saw him, she stares at him the entire time. Max goes to her office anyway. 'Last chance to walk away.' His answer: 'Close the door.' She insists Friday never happened, so he sets the earring on her desk and braces to be thrown out. Episode 2 ends with one twist of the handle. Locked.
